Change Of Clothes

  • Vacancy Hall 10359 104 Street Northwest Edmonton, AB, T5J 1B9 Canada

Change of Clothes is a sustainable, ethical fashion initiative in Edmonton, Alberta. They put on annual events in the city that are both fun and make us ask the difficult questions when it comes to our fashion.

This year, in honour of Fashion Revolution Day, we invite you out for an afternoon filled with a clothing swap, upcycling workshops, and a repairathon! There will also be donation bins for you to bring your gently worn clothing to. Further details will be announced on their Facebook event, so please visit https://www.facebook.com/events/1718645398379639/.

Clothing Swap: Please bring up to, but no more than, three articles of gently worn clothing in order to participate.

Upcycling Workshops: Suitable for all ages. Stay tuned for updates.

Repairathon: Missing a button? Have a slight tear in your sleeve? Allow the YEG Repairathon ladies to come to the rescue!

Last year, at the very first Change of Clothes event, we saw over 120 people walk through the doors of Vacancy Hall and had over 350 lbs of clothing donated! This year, we would love to see even more people participate in this movement!

The cost of the ticket ($5) is going directly back into supporting this responsible fashion initiative, covering the costs of rental fees and advertising. With your support, we will be able to host more events for years to come.

Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door - we recommend in advance to secure your spot!
